I thought I start this thread to help motivate and reenergize a few.
Feel free to list your Internet Marketing plans for 2011, it is fast approaching and don't let another year go to waste...put in some solid planning and effort right from now!
MY GOALS:
I'm on track to launch a bunch of 'Local' country specific sites based around customer reviews. I cannot go into full details as a company already wants to purchase it (or invest heavily in it) at this skeleton stage.
My 'pie in the sky' aim is to turnover 3-5mil/year and employ around 15 fulltime staff. I'm slowly moving away from Internet Marketing as we know it and moving towards developing much bigger sites dealing with tangible businesses.
But good old ClickBank and single-page sites is what started it all for me. Maybe by end of next year I'll disappear from this forum as I get caught up too deeply with my other projects.
Come on guys/gals, spill some beans... |

This was a crucial year for me. I started it with my restaurant going under leaving me with a substantial debt to my suppliers and a huge loan from the bank. Jobless and broke, I turned to internet marketing with my roommates laughing behind my back telling me that "some wires got crossed in my head and that I should just look for a job"...
The end of the year is near, I have no debts and I am paying my loan installments without any problems, I am finally living alone and I am making 5-6 times more than my friends with the "crossed wires" attitude...
I haven't tapped into the big money yet and to be perfectly honest at the moment it is not clear to me when and how (if at all) will that happen.
I won't get into specifics of my road map but my plan is to double my current monthly income. |

Hi Eoon, hang in there. The way you feel uncertain about future success is perfectly normal. We all go through it. The difference is those that hang in there long enough actually end up reaching their goals.
When I was in Uni doing e-business course I met this dude who was the cousin of "Sam Morgan". Sam Morgan sold his business 'Trade Me' for 750 million a while back (google "trademe sold for" to find news articles on it). I remember how his cousin used to tell me Sam slaving away 16 hours a day in his garage working on Trade Me, day in day out for 18 months.
That's what it takes! I don't lack drive and I'm no one special at all, just another person trying to make it rich (I have to some extent already). But it really bothers me when others quit after a few months or spend a few hours a day and expect miracles. It's SUNDAY 3.30AM in New Zealand right now and I'm NOT out partying like most of the people I grew up with. I'm actually programming my site, my project. I'll go to bed at 4.30AM and repeat it tomorrow, for months to come.
I exercise, eat right, stay fit and completely focus on what I'm doing. Doing so keeps my life kinda balanced with all that hours I put in.
And when my site starts pulling in hundreds of thousands per month, my whole life will be a BIG party. Sacrifice now to enjoy/relax later. This strategy has worked really well for me. |

Thanks for the support Lazy. From our correspondence and the forum threads I can clearly recognize that we have very similar thinking process.
I also often think about the freedom and the sacrifice. I think about how it might be that my friends are at a club tonight while I am calculating average page rank of first page search results for hundreds of keywords. But tonight will be over and Monday they'll have to get back to their 9-5s exchanging time for money. In a year I might be with them in the club without restrictions, without thinking about Mondays, never merely exchanging time for money...
I work like a crazy zealot and I have been doing so for over a year now and I am not complaining...
all the best with your project... |

Thanks for the feedback Eoon. Sometimes I get really busy and forget to reply to PM's, sorry about that. I wish I had the time to help as many people as a can but that's just not possible.
For those who are wondering about the '9-5 Working Prison'...exchanging time for money...there is no comparison to the happiness you'll achieve once you break away from this nightmarish routine. Money cannot buy you happiness directly but money buys you time-freedom and gives you unimaginable choices in every area of your life. And this will make you happy, very happy indeed. Use this as your driving force to work hard. That's what I do. |

| My goal for 2011 is to buy a car out from my income on my online jobs. And of course to be more knowledgeable to my chosen craft and be expert on it. Also, I want to learn more about web designing. |

To setup my first couple of CB, and possibly other products.
I have been in the game since early-mid 2008, as an affiliate, and have just about cracked the code to automating the building of succesful affiliate/ppc sites. Actually just about finished building 200 new niche sites, and expect to break that elusive (for me) 5 figure per month mark, once they start getting their rankings/traffic.
So yeah, really looking forward to being the VENDOR, and building my own business in the near future. Also thinking of setting up a membership site, and seeing how that goes in the new year.
Lots to do _________________ Nick Earl |
