| Excellent work ClickBank. This guideline will slowly weed out the over-hyped and misleading sites that give other CB sites a bad name. I hope CB actively polices these rules. |

hahaha ...I can actually see the parts where they used my websites as examples of what not to do...I guess tommorow is reserved for removing the things that infringe the new policies...
Just got back from my vacation where I checked my email once per day and I got their message about this almost daily. This must mean they mean bussiness with this.
But let's take a step back and get real here for a moment now, if they were to remove every website that uses hype and keep only the ones that contain the absolute simple truth, this would kill their company and slash their profits to probably something like 10% of what they're making now...
Do you think there really is anything revolutionary about weightloss anybody could offer these days in ebooks. Absolutely not....but they need to sell it...that's where hype comes in...same thing happens on TV while I am typing this...
I would like to know what goes on behind the scenes here, what kind of FTC pressure they're under... |

Yes, 'hype' and 'misleading' are both open to interpretations. But I think CB's main beef will be with Make Money sites. Ones that say something like "make $500 a day just by typing ads". Not the ones trying to put their products in the best possible light. I think it's the BS claims made by the hype that they are really looking at.
Although they started weeding out such sites about 3 years ago, I think they will push the boundary a bit more this time around.
Also, as someone with 10% bodyfat and pretty fit (I understand fat loss intimately), I have no idea why those infomercials such as that promoting Ab Circle Pro can be sold on TV. There's NO WAY you'll lose fat by doing ab exercises alone. It's all down to calorie intake vs calorie burned. But FTC does nothing about such ads, have done nothing for decades! |
