So I have a CB product that sells at $97 one-off payment.
I want to add a recurring continuity level for those who have bought the product and for new people.
The ideas is that $97 gets you access to the basic essentials,
then if you want to get more content monthly, access to a forum
and a monthly webinar then you need to upgrade to the continuity at
say $19.95/ month
People already inside need some way to just sign up for the continuity without paying the $97 which they have already done. New people pay the $97 and then the continuity follows.
Can't figure out the best way, I can see that CB offers a trial period
before continuity but the max is 30 days for the trial which isn't long enough
to allow people to get the max out of the $97 before deciding.
$97 for 3 months would work then the recurring but looks like I can't do that.
Other way is maybe lower the price to say $27 for 30 days then add the continuity but then I have affiliates promoting at $97 so not sure how they'd like the change. Then the existing people need to be able to sign up to just the continuity as mentioned above.
I'm new to cb so if you have any tips thanks...

Some questions
1. Will the continuity be an upgrade option or an initial payment followed by rebills
2. If it's an upgrade option do you want your affiliates to get the commission ? |

thanks
1. an upgrade only pitched once they are inside
2. yes ideally affiliates would (but if not possible to do so, would consider giving them higher comm front end.) |

If it's an upgrade then how does a trial come into it ?
Is it not simply
- Item 1: $97 one-off
- Item 2: A recurring payment of $19.95 per month
Then you just offer Item 2 to anyone who has paid the $97 |

Think I get you, not sure how this is done in cb
you set up a second CB product, but then you dont list it on the marketplace as you want them to get the main product first?
then you add a link inside to its own sales page (prod 2) on the same site then use the membership script to give them access to this product
thanks |

You are allowed 500 items in your account but only one Marketplace entry
So prod 2 will be the second item in your account. It does not need a Marketplace entry anyway.
Affiliates will get commission if their cookie still remains on the customer's computer from the initial sale - which gets more unlikely as time goes on.
If you definitely want to give affiliates commission on rebills - and use that as a selling point to them - you would need scripts and a file system or database to capture the affiliate id and reuse it. |
